Jennifer Kaufman, M.A.Ed.L., M.S.E.T., is the EPIC School Principal and a lifelong Bergen County resident. Ms. Kaufman started her career as an English teacher, then spent 10 years at Community High School in Teaneck as the Assistive Technology Coordinator in addition to English Teacher and Technology Teacher. It was at Community High School where Ms. Kaufman saw the impact that the right environment, a caring staff and the appropriate program and supports have on the lives of students who learn differently. She went on to earn her Master’s of Science degree in Educational Technology from Ramapo College (where she served as an adjunct professor), followed by her Master’s of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Thomas Edison State University. Since that time, Ms. Kaufman has served as Principal at special needs schools, most recently in Mountainside, NJ, expanding their program to include both a high school and ABA specific classrooms.
